Recommendations of classics, including short, medium and long, each of which is worthy of attention!

  • I've been rereading a lot of old stories and plays lately. For me, most read is actually a long novel. It's nice to be in silence and be able to re-read and re-read.
  • This article recommends only foreign literature. I have selected excellent stories, plays and novels that are worth reading. This is equivalent of my personal recommended book list for friends who are in high school and up. Some novels are very difficult, but same thing: each one is a classic worth collecting and re-reading over and over again.
  • This article contains 30 foreign short stories, 10 short stories, 10 plays and 10 long novels that I think are must-reads. There is no priority in all rankings, and it doesn't matter if it's best or worst. I recommend them because they are all my favorites and bring back rich memories. There are too many good books, and I can't read many of world's great writers, so novels that aren't on recommended list might even be better than them; in addition, due to my preference for American, especially Latin American novels, I have an obvious limitation also related to my personal ability and vision, please forgive me. As for merits and demerits of recommended novels, everyone has their own opinion, and we do not insist on agreeing with it.
  • Please note that all authors in list of recommended books have already died. Leave only eternal classics.
